HR News - TeamSpirit Addresses Human Capital Reporting
Selven Group is pleased to announce that its TeamSpirit Integrated HR and Payroll software addresses the growing requirement for Human Capital Reporting.
As the value of measuring human capital becomes more widely recognised, companies are already developing their own methodologies aligned with their people management strategies. TeamSpirit Human Resource Software can greatly assist with this by providing much of the base data required to analyse, measure and evaluate human capital. For example TeamSpirit’s Global Statistics function gives companies access to real-time data on employee demographics such as gender, age and ethnicity. TeamSpirit users can also carry out employee status analysis and reporting status, for example full-time vs part-time, permanent vs temporary, job history, length of service, job title or grade and availability in terms of sickness days, absence and holiday.
Taking this a step further TeamSpirit provides complementary information to support this workforce data including HR training and development, HR performance management, HR skills and competencies, qualifications and information relating to prior work experience.
In addition TeamSpirit will assist HR to associate information on the workforce to performance and enable them to assess the impact of human capital on the overall success of the business. For example employee performance monitoring can be assessed against set goals, objectives and the allocation of bonuses and departmental or job costing can be monitored against how long it takes employees to complete individual tasks.
What’s more through the provision of a set of inherent system tools TeamSpirit allows manipulation of the data as required by the user, enabling additional fields and associated reports and calculations to be created that are not part of the standard TeamSpirit system.
| Nick Parker, CEO of Human Capital Support Services (HCSS), the holding company for Selven Group comments “As an Investor in People we recognise that our employees are by far our greatest asset, and therefore fully support the need for all organisations to provide more detailed information on how their people contribute to the overall success of their business. Our TeamSpirit Human Resource software system is equipped to provide companies with the necessary information to place a value on their human capital and to monitor how this links to their organisational success and performance”. |

Human Capital Reporting has been a hot industry topic since May 2004 when the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched plans to make an Operating and Financial Review (OFR) a statutory requirement of company reporting for listed companies. Although not yet compulsory it is unlikely that listed companies will omit to provide some degree of information on its people.
